Tom Clancy

Tom Clancy?

I am a ameture writer, and have emailed a number of proffesional writers over the years:

Mack Maloney (WINGMAN series)
Stephen Coonts (Flight of the Intruder)
Michael Crichton (Jurrasic Park)
Michael Dimarcurio (submarine stories)

But it has always been my dream to write (and get a response from) Tom Clancy.
4 years ago, I was living in central texas and i got word that he was going to be coming to Fort Hood (huge army base) but never got confirmation in time before i moved from where i lived at the time. I missed meeting him and taking part in a contest to have dinner with Clancy.

Anyway my question is this?

Most writers have a web site and a way to contact them. Email usually. But Clancy has neither, that I am aware of.

he does have a number of fan web sites, but no direct web sites.

Does anyone know a email or contact page to Tom Clancy?

Instead of saying "a e-mail" say "an e-mail."

You use "an" instead of "a" when the word after it starts with a vowel. But there are circumstances when this doesn't apply, but it is rare.

Also, it is spelled amateur.

Project Gotham Racing

Project Gotham Racing

Do many people play Project Gotham Racing 4 on Xbox Live now?

I have PGR3, but it seems that no one plays it online. I hate getting an Xbox game only to find out that no one plays it after an extended time. No one plays Robotron 2084, but thousands play Halo 3 over a year after its release.

There is actually people playing part 4 still. The reason why not a lot of people play part 3 is because they rather be playing the the newer version (the sequel) which is PGR4. I still play PGR4 on Xbox Live and have no problem finding matches.
You obviously are not going to find as many people as there is playing Halo 3 because we all know Halo 3 is a lot more popular than PGR4 but do expect to find matches when you play PGR4 on Xbox Live.
I love the game, is my current racing favorite.

More motorsport madness on the 360.

Racing titles are not in short supply for the Xbox 360. Forza Motorsport 2, Race Driver GriD, Sega Rally, Colin McRae DiRT, Project Gotham Racing, Ridge Racer 6, Test Drive Unlimited, Pure, Burnout Paradise and Need for Speed: Undercover are all available for you to enjoy on your favorite console.

The majority of those titles are arcade orientated, meaning that realism is thrown out the window for fantasy racing. Race Pro ventures in the opposite direction, a direction that is very tricky to master and has only been perfected by Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo on console.

Race Pro has some big shoes to fill. Developing a racer to merge with other racer simulation titles means that comparisons are drawn on anything that isn't exactly correct. Cars must handle like they do in real life and the visual details, with the power of current consoles, are scrutinized if not entirely accurate. Seeing that the developers make a success of those bits, customization of gear ratios, tire compounds and engine modification, to name a few, will be next on the list for simulation critics to loathe or admire. Race Pro is not exactly a master of all the above-mentioned simulation criteria, but it is a Jack-of-all-trades.

If you're anything like us, you will skip the Single Race Mode and jump right into the more beefy Career Mode. Career Mode follows a similar route to previous Toca Touring Car racers, where you have to buy a contract to become a race driver and earn credits to buy other contracts, upgrading the level of cars you race as you make your way up the ladder.

Once you have bought your first contract (which forces you to drive a Mini Cooper), it is on to the racetrack. The lights go out, you fly past all competitors from your grid position (right at the back), and leave them in your dust... well, until the first corner approaches. Inevitably you will hit your brakes too late, drive off the road and go over the gravel, ending up in last place for the remainder of the race. It is very, very difficult, simply because it's so realistic. Has Race Pro gone a bit far with simulation? Is it actually still a game?

After the first corner we were ready to pack the game up and call it a day. Arcade racer games have made us far too lazy to practice and get good at anything. We want to be spoon-fed. But we gritted our teeth and selected the restart option. Having dealt with the blow to our egos, we tackled the game.

Once the event, comprising three races, has been concluded you are awarded credits to purchase your next contract. There are 13 real-life tracks to race on including Monza and Laguna Seca, a stunning 350 car models - ranging from Audis to Formula 3000 vehicles - and 12-player (online or systemlink) multiplayer games. Like all simulations, everything is done realistically, but unfortunately the visual department fails miserably.

When comparing Race Pro to Forza Motorsport 2, it seems that Race Pro missed an event in the genre that took place two years ago. Car models look decent but not great, the tracks are realistic but have been done before, and the handling is respectable but not perfect - as we now expect from a simulation. Everything is in place, but it lacks currency - it's all old news.

Deep inside this package, there is a game that wants to shine, but it wants you to suffer before you enjoy it, and is similar to F-Zero GX when it comes to the difficulty curve. Race Pro is a respectable add-on to your collection of racers and it's probably a good idea to pick this up if you have been dying for another simulation.

Mario Kart Wii

How do you earn 3 stars on Mario Kart Wii?

I'm playing through the tracks on Mario Kart Wii. Sometimes when I come first all the time and get 60 points I get one star. Sometimes, (although more rare) I get 2. I've read on the Internet you can get 3. How is this determined? We seem to have misplaced the manual so I can't look it up!

I just got three stars and I don't know what I did differently. I won every race by a large margin. Who knows matbe you just need super fast times. Oh one other thiing I have at least a gold on all races. I don't know if that make a difference.

Grab your friends and family and captain the crew to victory! The party is back and bigger than ever in the Mario Party 9 game for Wii, featuring all-new ways to play! For the first time in the franchise, boss battles crash the party and challenge players to compete to defeat a common enemy...

Usual suspects such as external power supply, composite cables and SCART adapters are all present. We are even offered a pre synchronized Wii Remote and Nunchuk, with batteries. We suspect this is really a ploy to get you hooked and addicted as soon as possible, after all the only we can think off not getting addicted to the phenomenon that is Wii is by not playing it

Wii also comes supplied with a Sensor Bar, allowing you to point at the screen using the remote. This bar is not intrusive and can be tucked away on the top or bottom of the TV. Nintendo Wii also come supplied with adhesive pads, for the bar (we recommend not using these).

Once the setup of the console is complete, you also have to set the language, date and time also with sensor placement settings. Then you are ready to dive into the gaming experience

Before going to play you games, we would recommend setting up an interconnection first. This process is usually very quick. Once the connection has been detected, its a matter of entering the correct password, and you are off.

Wireless performance, should also not disappoint, thanks to the included tow internal antennas, one mounted vertically and other horizontally, hence you will get same performance regardless of the orientation of your Wii. If you do get stuck the help manuals are clear and complete, with plenty of pictures to show you what to do.

If you know Wii you know its not a graphics machine, with estimated speeds of Wii just above the original Xbox (This is an estimation based on our observations, and not a number to be quoted!) But a Wii is not designed to be a graphics monster! what it lacks in graphics it makes up for in other areas

Wii also does not feature an internal hard drive, but relies on a flash drive to store saved games, virtual console titles and downloaded channels. There however is an SD card Slot, which will take capacity up to 2GB The optical drive can accept GameCube discs and Wii discs, and in most cases Wii is also backward compatible with GameCube games.

Now we come to what is the most important element of Wii: the Wii Remote. When it was first unveiled in 2005 reactions varied from shock, astonishment and denial and have since progressed to curiosity, acceptance and eventually to expectation. The idea will never please everyone but the remote does everything Nintendo promised it could do with great aplomb.

The Wii remote is one of the areas that has made Nintendo Wii instantly recognizable. In our opinion it is a technological marvel On first picking up the remote it feels perfectly natural, with your thumb and index finger hovering over the A button and B trigger located on the top and underside respectively. With batteries inserted the weight feels just right, providing perfect balance for careful manipulation and tilting. Much like the console as a whole the remote exudes superb build quality too, with satisfying button mechanisms and even high quality battery springs. Small details count for a lot, and these small details inspire confidence from the outset.

Moreover, one of the great strengths of the remote is how it can be held in a variety of different ways For racing games the remote can also be held horizontally; titling left and right to steer.

We think Nintendo Wii is the best console game based on shear fun. It offers aspects of gaming never before seen, such as family orientated games and fun. Coupled with healthy dose of well though out games Nintendo Wii is the best console. And set to yet again top Christmas 2009 wish list

Are you looking for Cheap Nintendo Wii Console, Games and Accessories came and visit us we compare the market so you don't have to Nintendo Wii Console

Though Avatar: The Last Airbender has stopped airing, people search on the Internet for websites, which allow them to download Avatar: The Last Airbender episodes.

The show ran for three consecutive seasons on the Nickelodeon Network. It was created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. It had a total of 61 episodes. The central point of series are Aang and his friends. Throughout the run of the series, we saw them trying hard to save the world from evildoers and to finish the battle with Fire nation. For its great plot and representation of events, Avatar: The Last Airbender has been nominated for innumerous awards and has won many of them.

The show stopped airing years ago but it's still there in the hearts of the people. The popularity has in no way decreased but has increased in fact. That's the only reason why, even after so many years, people search the net for sites that allow them to download Avatar: The Last Airbender.

There may be question in your mind why to download a TV show from the Internet, when we can easily buy DVD sets from the market. The biggest drawback of going with DVDs is that we never get the choice to make a collection of a selected number of episodes. You either have to buy the entire set or nothing at all.

Moreover, it's also a fact that DVDs sets, especially in case of shows like Avatar: The Last Airbender, might not be readily available. What suits more convenient- rushing from one DVD store to other to have episodes of your choice or download Avatar: The Last Airbender episodes while sitting at the comfort of your home.

In order to download Avatar: The Last Airbender episodes, one needs to go to Google.com. In order to start the process, type the words such as Download Avatar: The Last Airbender, in the search box of search engine. It displays a list of websites, which offer services for Avatar: The Last Airbender download. However, given the countless number of websites, a user might get confused and lost.

One needs to be very careful while choosing a website to download Avatar: The Last Airbender episodes. The reason is that many of the listed websites do not provide complete show details and may dump a lot of junk on your system. Consequently, the system gets infected with spy-ware or viruses So before you start downloading, just keep certain things in mind.

The options named free Avatar: The Last Airbender download is intended to attract a user. It leaves one going through false links and unending advertisements only. The safest way to make Avatar: The Last Airbender download is registration with a genuine website. The user would have to pay a nominal fee for registration. You can choose any type of registration depending on your interest and budget. You can choose membership for lifetime or for a short period and access almost all-downloadable stuff available on the website, based on the type of your membership. So, never waste your time and efforts in finding free stuff, register with a genuine website and download Avatar: The Last Airbender episodes easily.

I am a great fan of TV shows. I watch all popular shows on regular basis. Also, like to review latest episodes of television shows. And like to prefer watch and download Tv Shows from any reliable site.

The short answer is; anything you can get for less than its actual worth.

One way of finding cheap goods to resell is by finding misspelt items listed by other eBayers. Suggesting this tends to get you shot down in flames by non-believers - but it does work.

For example:

Consider one of the most popular video games of the last couple of years - Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.

If, in the middle of 2005, you could've bought this game for £10, do you think you could've made money? Of course you could, people were more than willing to pay £20 or so on eBay for this game.

Figuring out that many people would spell a word like Andreas wrong, I did a little experiment.

Using an eBay arbitrage tool, such as the one found at http://www.BenCatt.com/arbitrage.php I simply entered "san andreas" into the box and clicked Generate.

I was then given a clickable link which immediately searched all of eBay for misspellings of "San Andreas".

Typically, each time I did this I would get around 20-30 results.

Next, I simply noted down the worst spelt examples and their eBay item numbers.

The most I was willing to pay for a PS2 version of the game was £11.50 in total i.e. the winning price plus the postage and packing.

So, I saved this search in the "My eBay" section of this site and every couple of days would note down new additions.

After finding the item numbers I then went to http://www.auctionsniper.com and set up automatic bidding on each item in the last 6 seconds for my maximum price.

If the postage for a PS2 version of the game was £2, my maximum bid price was set at £9.50.

The net result was that I was bidding on any misspelt San Andreas game automatically whether I was at my PC at the time or not.

Out of 45 attempts, I won 7 of the games - the cheapest at £8.50, the most expensive at £11.50.

Once I had the games "in hand", I simply listed them on eBay for a Buy It Now price of between £16.50 to £18.00 with £2 postage charge. Each game was sold within the 10 day listing time for a healthy profit.

Examples of titles of the auctions I bid on were as follows:

Grand theft auto - San Andres
PS2 GAME GTA SANANDREAS
GRAND THEFT AUTO - SAN ADREAS
PS2 Grand Theft Auto San Anderas

My own listing title was optimised to ensure I captured as many potential buyers as possible through the search facility:

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas Playstation 2 Game PS2 GTA

No keyword spamming, no ridiculous "L@@K" or "W@W", just relevant words which an interested buyer would be searching for.

Total profit from the 7 listings after all fees and costs: £29.74 (+ 7 positive feedback points)

As you may or may not know, San Andreas is now available online for £14.99 or less, brand new and so it is not a viable profitmaker anymore. The game went platinum after Christmas and so halved in price.

However, there are plenty of other games which have slightly "complicated" spelling - the titles of which many people will make mistakes in spelling.

Look at the Amazon top 25 every couple of days and note down the titles of the items at the top of the chart. You can do this with any particular niche, just browse to the sections where your interest lies and you will see the "Amazon Hot 25" list.

For example - the Hot 25 PS2 Games (with spelling mistakes found on eBay in brackets):

TimeSplitters: Future Perfect (TimeSlitters, timespitters,
Timsplitters, timespliters)
Shadow of the Colossus (COLOSSU)
The Chronicles of Narnia (Cronicles)
Star Wars Battlefront II (BATTELFRONT, BATTLEFORNT)
Gran Turismo 4 (Tursimo, TRISMO)

Others:

King Kong (King King, Kingkong)
Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories (LIBERY, LIBERT, LIBETY)
Perfect Dark Zero (prefect)

If you simply find the misspelt items, decide a maximum bid, set up your auction sniper and leave it to run, you will make money.

Of course, video games are just a simple example - your niche may be even more profitable!
