Digital cameras are expensive to repair for a few reasons. Sometimes companies will repair it for free, but this is not extremely common. It is always good to get warranty when you purchase a camera, because you never know what is going to happen. All in all, if your camera is really broken and you cannot get it fixed for free, you are better off just buying a new camera. Be careful and take care of your digital cameras!
