If you are having problems with your Xbox 360 then this article will tell you what the different red lights error mean and what you can do to fix them. The power button has 4 different flashing parts and depending on what quadrants are flashing it indicates a different problem, here are what they mean:
1 red light: If you have the 1 red light error that means you have a scalier chip error and the scaler chip deals with the display processing through the AV cable so to get this fixed you will need to get it repaired.
2 red lights: If you see 2 red lights flashing then this means that your Xbox is over heating and you may be lucky with this one if you leave it for a few hours to cool down before going back to it and then trying it again. If this does not work for you what you can do is try hoovering out all of the dust at the side vents and the back as the build up of dust can cause these types of problems.
3 red lights: 3 red lights is probably the most talked about error and this is when you get a hardware failure where your GPU and your CPU burn out and to get this fixed you will need to stop the heat build up on these chips and get it repaired.
4 red lights: 4 red lights means that you more than likely do not have your AV cable plugged in correctly as all it means is the console cannot detect the cable. Check this or change the cable and you should be back up and running.
If you have the 1 red light or the 3 red lights then you can send it back to Microsoft or repair it yourself. If you are going to go down the route or repairing the console yourself then you will need to get an Xbox 360 Repair guide and make sure that it has full previews of the videos to show you how to do the fix and good customer support and then you should be fine!
I hope this article has told you more about the Xbox 360 problems that you can get and helped you figure out what is wrong with your 360.
Happy Gaming!
