You can get computer games and programs to train your brain. There is even a Nintendo brain-training program out. When you do mental exercises, you build cortical tissue. It is a bit like building muscle tissue when you exercise your body.
If you can build up lots of cortical tissue, you will have a good supply for your old age, when tissue starts to deteriorate. It is never too late to start. A group of people in their seventies agreed to be tested. After testing, they were given brain-training exercises for several months. At the end of the training, they were retested and they all had improved their brains. The difference in some cases was amazing. Some had the brain age of people decades younger. Imagine if they had been doing brain exercises from a much younger age.
How old is your brain now? You should get started on your brain exercises. The best thing about exercising your brain is that you do not end up with sore muscles the next day. Oh, and its lots of fun, too.
