The sports video game category is one of the most popular categories of video games around these days because sports in real life are popular beyond belief. The four major sports; baseball, football, hockey and basketball all bring in billions of dollars each year in revenue from ticket sales, merchandise, food, souvenirs and advertising. What makes sports video games so popular is that they give the gamer the ability to run their favorite team from top to bottom including drafting players, trading players, signing players, organizing the minor league teams and playing each game. Another feature that gamers enjoy in a sports game is the ability to create a new player. This feature is perfect for the gamer to create themselves in the game or create a player on their favorite team that has been left off of the team's roster.

When it comes to creating a player in a sports game there are plenty of preferences to choose from including the skin color of the player, facial hair, head hair, eye color and much more. Other features include but are not limited to the following:

The ability to create a player in any sports game makes the game more personal for the gamer because the gamer can create him or herself in an instant.
