Mario Galaxy is Nintendo's latest version of the Mario brand franchise. The previous Mario games were set in an environment set in a magic kingdom whereby the princess of the realm is kidnapped by the enemy. In this game again he has to set her free, but rather than the game being set around a environment that is set one planet. This time we see him travel ling between different types of worlds hence the title of the game.
The game starts with the main character Mario fighting for his life as the level that he is in is being attacked from above by a gun ship. He makes his way through that level to get to the main platform which is an area sat up in space. On this platform he gets told about what he as got to do to rescue the princess. As with all Mario games before he has to collect stars which he can use to attack the enemy and also these stars can be traded with other characters on the game.
If you own a Nintendo Wii, you will understand how innovative the Wii remote and Nunchuc are. If you don't, I urge you to have a go on a friend or family member's as it is utterly brilliant. The new Mario game is a compliment to all the old existing Mario games of the past. Once you start playing the game you will be hooked I have nearly finished the game now and it still amazes me how clever each level is. All that remains to say is have a look for yourself.
