Whether you choose to be a DPS warrior, dealing out damage and taking down the enemy or a tank, holding aggro and protecting the group as they burn down the foe, you have a lot of options and a lot of advantages to other classes. Warriors are often needed in groups, making them a fun class to play with others and an asset to guilds and raids. Warriors also have a very wide range of abilities in combination with great melee, hand-to-hand combat. They can wear mail and plate armor later on, and then can take hits better than other classes.
Warriors excel at fighting more than one target. They can take down a target fast and protect other party members. Warriors are also great for playing solo. Almost all races such as Human, Dwarf, Night Elf, Gnome, Orc, Tauren, Troll, Undead, Draenei can be warriors and warriors can use all weapons except for wands so you really have many choices for what you want to do and how.
However, warriors do not have the ability to heal themselves and manage aggro from mobs. In battle they need the help from the Priest and the Shaman if possible. Warriors also have many Shouts that are helpful to certain situations, such as Battle Shouts that will increase the melee attack power and that of party members within range; and Demoralizing Shout that will reduce melee attack power of the enemy; and etc. Warriors also get different stances and some abilities can only be performed in certain stances. You have to work out how to change stances effectively.
