May Cry
May Cry
Can someone please give me a summary of what happens in Devil May Cry 3?
I have played both Devil May cry 1 and 2 but never played 3. Unfortunately I dont have a PS2 anymore and have just pre-ordered Devil May cry 4. A lot of people told me that I should know what happens in all games.
Detail would be appreciated.
Thank You
So River, whose online review did you just copy/paste without credit there? And how does that explain the story?
DMC3 is a prequel to DMC1. The game begins with Dante still setting up his "office", when he gets attacked by demons and the place gets absolutely trashed. As he steps outside, a giant demonic spire rises from the ground, and at its top is Virgil, Dante's long-lost brother. We soon learn that Virgil, with the help of an old scholarly fellow (whose name escapes me right now), intend to open the gates of Hell and throw the world into darkness. Dante then bumps into a young woman in a schoolgirl costume and riding a motorcycle, who goes by the name "Lady". She's gruff and unpleasant, but is out to kill the old man for some reason. Dante fights his way up the tower, with the help of a strange clown fellow named Jester, and has a stylish fight with his brother.
Ultimately, Virgil wins, and nearly kills Dante. However, Dante's devil powers awaken at this point just before he passes out, and Virgil leaves him at the top of the tower and he goes back down with his wizard associate. Virgil moves to the main summoning room of the tower, and after the door is opened, he kills his "partner". Dante (after he wakes up) and Lady catch up, and you learn that the reason Lady was after this guy is that he was her father, and he sold his soul for magic powers and killed her mother. And now she's mad because she didn't get to kill him.
Virgil then cuts his hand in the middle of the room, to activate the tower and open the gate, but nothing happens. Dante then wanders in, and Virgil explains that the blood of Sparda's line is needed to open the gate, but his isn't working, maybe he needs more, so he'll take all of Dante's blood instead. After you win the fight, Jester shows up, sarcastically cheering you both on. He then explains that to open the gate, you need more than just the blood of Sparda, thought without the brothers beating each other to a pulp, he'd never have been able to get that. You also need the blood of the line of the human woman Sparda fell for that made him want to seal away the demon world. And funny that; someone here fits the bill just fine: his dear daughter, Lady (whom he then impales). Yes, Jester and the old man are the same person, and he wasn't dead.
This then activates the Tower, which re-shapes itself and creates a portal to the demon world above it. Jester proceeds that way, with Virgil in pursuit for vengeance. Dante checks on Lady (who is somehow survives and continues fighting) before giving chase back to the top of the tower.
In the demon world, Dante ends up having to re-fight most of the bosses of the game in rapdi succession, before a fight with the new Jester infused with the power of Sparda's pendant. Halfway through the fight, Virgil arrives and teams up with Dante to end this disgrace to their father's name. With Jester finished, both Dante and Virgil rush forward to reclaim the pendant, with Virgil getting it. Virgil then taps into it's power for a final showdown with Dante.
When Dante wins, he reclaims his half of the pendant and attempts to leave with Virgil, who refuses. Virgil wants all the power Sparda had, and believes he can find it in the demon world. With the world crashing down around them, Virgil leaps off a cliff, so Dante will have to leave him alone or be stuck in the demon realm. Dante returns to our world, has a tender moment with Lady, and then teams with her to slay all the demons left in our world during the credits. He then names his business Devil May Cry, after what Lady said to him as he teared up right at the end.
And if you beat the game on Dante Must Die difficulty, you get a brief little additional cutscene of Virgil waking up in the pits of the demon world in front of Mundus, and beginning to transform into Nelo Angelo (the recurring enemy of DMC1) after accepting an offer from Mundus.

No parent wants to see their child hurt, and if your child is hurt, you want to be able to help them. Unfortunately, babies can not always communicate if they are hurt or where they are hurt. Because of this, babies and toddlers will cry when something is wrong. Unfortunately, it is difficult to determine the reason they are crying and parents play the guessing game to figure out what is wrong. American Sign Language can help in this situation. Before babies can verbally tell you if they are hurt, they can communicate this by signing. To sign hurt, touch your two pointer fingers together. If you can teach this sign to your child, they will be able to sign if they are hurt or not. Even more importantly, they will be able to tell you where they are hurt. For example, if they sign "hurt" near their ear, it may mean they have an ear infection. To make it easier for your baby to learn this sign, you can practice on stuffed animals or toys. For example, you can make believe a teddy bear bumped his head and then explain that he hurt his head, while signing the word as well. Your child will begin to understand, and they will use the sign when they are hurt themselves. Continue to use the sign whenever you refer to someone or something that is hurt, whether it is something on a television show, in a book, etc. Soon, you will see how quickly your child learns the sign, and how much easier it will be to help them when they are hurt.
