Since the gaming market has been expanded from the past decade game companies are paying more attention to their product quality. They hire video game testers to keep an eye on their production. This is the reason why they want to employ tester. But how can you find a video game testing jobs in your local state?
You can also visit their website to check if any new job is posted. But game company does not usually post open vacancy on their website. They will recruit game tester from a certain source. Many game companies lack game tester so they keep on recruiting more candidates to fulfill the position, in fact there are many pre-launch titles waited to be tested. It takes almost up to 8 hours to beta test a video game and another 3 hours to complete the survey.
Searching for a video game testing job is not difficult if you know where to look. Sometime the vacancy will be posted on job classification, game magazine or their official websites but this is quite rare. The easiest way is to access a source that has the job ads been posted. Not many game companies prefer to hire their insider employees such as game developer or programmer to test play their own video game. It consumes too much time they would rather spend their valuable time to tweak the quality.
Gamer Testing Ground is a membership program which guides their members on how to apply for the game testing job. Their main objective is to land their member with a game testing career. Gamer Testing Ground has the source which includes a list of 50 game companies with open vacancies. Finding the job is not hard but how to be employed by a game company is a different story. Game company is expecting a creative and precise resume but the focus is not on computer skill, education background and experience. As long as you love to play video game they would hire you.
