Maybe you saw a TV ad or your friends have one or your kids want one.  Everyone knows what the Wii is now.  But do you really want to spend your money getting one?

Short answer: Be prepared with spending $500 plus on what you want and/or need. 

Long answer: Let's do some math here.  The Wii console itself costs $250.  That comes with what you need to have only one person ready to play.  That does come with Wii sports, so you at least get a free game with it.   Now, you probably know that you can't just play the Wii alone! The whole gimmick behind the Wii is playing with your friends and family and having Wii parties.  A Wii remote controller alone is going to cost you $40 for one piece.  To have the other piece called the nunchuck (which goes in the other hand) will cost you $20.  That is $60 per additional person! To have 4 people will cost you $180 extra on top of the $250 you spent for the system alone.

At the time of this writing there is also what they call the Wii Motion Plus.   Basically what this attachment does is makes your Wii pick up your motion in a 1:1 ratio, or 100% motion sensitive. This accessory should be free for anyone who wants it, but being the money hungry company that we know Nintendo is, they of course are charging another $20 per controller!  That's another $80 dollar investment for 4 controllers. 

That all adds up to $510 before applicable tax.

Then, once you get all the accessories you need... There are the games!  Most new games cost between $39.99 and $49.99.

If this is still something you want and are prepared to spend that much money then by all means head down to your local retail store and have you a Wii remote waggling good time.  A lot of people are unaware of the major money investment behind the Wii since it was supposed to be the "cheaper system."

Nope. The Wii remote has the sensor, the speaker, the power and the main controls. And it has the place where the nunchuck has to be plugged in to function. How would you use the nunchuck if it is not plugged into anything and does not have a sensor?

Mario Kart Wii is finally here. They will buy it all at the same time, separated by distance but united by the same desire to be on the net benefit for all parties online. They do not know, but these players here are all affected by the same virus. A terribly contagious virus called Mario Kart and who do you let go once it has grabbed you. On screen, the start is given on a course which, from the first few seconds, took on the appearance of Apocalypse. Precisely because the series defies logic that it attracts all types of players, whatever their age and experience. Mario Kart Wii is no exception to the rule, rather the contrary. And steering wheel that accompanies it is just there to finally convince the hesitant buyer that must not ignore this.

We will not hide it, play Mario Kart with a plastic steering wheel is probably the height of absurdity, but it did not stand. Offered directly with the game, the Wii Wheel is certainly a piece of plastic as dispensable as the other Wii accessories, but it constitutes an interesting bonus in that it brings new feelings to the game's delicate control, the device makes a little difference but it is nevertheless very fun to maneuver. It is however for the parties without issue, just as we do for fun without really worrying about the ranking. Keep a car driving to drive a kart is not a natural reflex for a long time practicing, and you can bet that purists will prefer him by far the grip with the classic controller. Equally accurate but much easier to control, it is indeed more appropriate. Color is so in demand nowadays. Colored consoles are perhaps the new wave of changes brought about by gaming companies. Not so long ago, Nintendo released their color inspired DS Lite consoles. They immortalized nearly every color found. With that, it became the stepping stone towards the personalizing the aesthetics and uniqueness that every consumers want. And recently, another new wave has been unleashed into the coasts of game consoles; it was the released of the black Wii bundle.

2006 was the year in which the Nintendo Wii consoles had reached the market. And this became the most chosen game gadget as evident by millions of consumers buying it compared Xbox and Sony PlayStation. With its release years ago, the Wii has been equated with the color white. The console box with the game controls are plastered with pure white. The base is of a neutral gray shade for sleek support. Perhaps the idea behind this color is that with such color exudes neatness and clarity.

But this year the white monotony for Wii had finally been washed. It's been 3 years already and it still is growing strong in the market after all this time. But Nintendo has confirmed that they had been developing a black version of the Wii. And finally summer of this year, they had proudly announced that the black Wii bundle is available. The said package includes a black Wii remote also known as the "Wiimote", which is the primary controller for the console, the black controller Pro, Wii Motion Plus and Wii Nunchuck. Apart from that it also contains a copy of Wii Sports Resort and the original Wii Sports. The downside was that upon its initial release is also its geographic availability. In June, this was made available only in Japan.

Many had been anticipating upon knowing the said news to have their hands on the new black Wii bundle. And Japan is so fortunate to have this first. But last November 6, the Wii console had finally go on sale in Ireland and the UK. 14 days after, this in turn will also be marketed in the European continent. But do take note this will be available in a very limited number. Moreover, the black Wiimote, Nunchuk and Motion Plus will also be available separately on November 20.

For U.S. consumers, Nintendo also plans to darken the holidays. The black Wii remote and Nunchuk will hit the market on November 16. This can be a wonderful alternative from the usual white minimalist hardware. Nintendo announced that the black equipment will have a price of $ 49.99. Apart from the remote it will also include a matte-black silicon sleeve for the device and Wii Play. The black Nunchuk attachment will also have a price tag of $ 19.99.

Sad to say the black Wii model, which was released in Japan in June this year, will not be released in Europe or even in North America. But I think those parts may be sufficient enough for that black Wii bundle for the meantime. So if you are tired of the old white color, then your chance for a new shade is here. So, watch out for those dates and head to your favorite local gaming stores.
