Game Boy Color

How much would I get for this Game Boy Color?

I have a Game Boy still in it's box, it is the Color version (color: kiwi) and it is a "limited edition bundle" with the game PokeMon Crystal version! I'm very hesitant to open it because I don't know how much it is worth or how much it will be worth!

Unfortunately, not much.

It might be different since it is opened and a limited edition, but when I was little, I sold my opened, blue color game boy to a store. That was right when the game boy SP came out. I only got 15 dollars for it.

I would try seeing how much your local New/Used store will buy it from you, and if it is not much, then try to see how much you could get for it on eBay.

New mom parties are the ideal way to show joy, hope, and excitement to any soon-to-be-mom. With her friends and family around her, she can feel at ease about the expectant baby. Even better is when she is given all of the supplies that she needs to set up her baby's nursery so she's totally ready for the big day. Baby showers are also a great opportunity to get the girls together for a fun time of laughter and games.

Baby Shower Decorations

Decorations are always great, because they set the joyous vibe for the entire party. If you don't know the sex of the baby, choose neutrals that would suit either sex. It creates a light and happy color theme! The cake can even add to the decor; add small plastic baby bottle favors and rattles, etc. that can be purchased from a discount party supplier. They add novelty to the cake as well as to the purpose of the event.

Basic Gifts Ideas

If you are the person throwing the party, be sure your new mom has either enlisted at a department store or Internet vendor to give the guests ideas as to what she would like as gifts. An alternative to this would be for her to make a list of what she doesn't yet have, perhaps baby crib, a Fisher Price baby swing, or even a baby car seat. Specify the colors and styles she prefers in the invitations and let the guests do the rest! If she needs a infant car seat, describe kinds that will change as the baby grows, from newborn through booster seat, for example. If she needs a baby buggy, suggest to the guests a few types that will allow for baby car seat to be set on it for easy transitioning from the car to the stroller. A Baby Einstein gym is an especially helpful gift because it permits mom to do things while the infant is being soothed and entertained. The best kinds are the ones that have a pull-off baby carrier so mom can bring baby into another room without disturbing them.

Games and Fun

Baby showers are known for their quirkiness and silly games. A game that is especially fun is "Don't Say That Word" such as "baby" or "girl" or "boy". Another favorite is a baby food game where the guests either smell or taste various flavors of baby food and try to guess what fruit or vegetable it is. A game that's really fun as well is where a diaper is passed around, musical-chairs style, and inside of the diaper is a scoop of warm fudge topping. This one is sure to get tons of laughs from the party guests! Don't forget prizes for the winning players; it is suggested that you choose girly gifts like scented bath accessories, fresh pots of flowers or plants, gift cards, or a gift bag full of something themed such as "all-things-manicure-related".

Be sure to give the expectant mother all she needs and you'll have given her the best baby shower. The party is also a great time for friends and family to support her and have a great time. Nothing's better than your guests saying that the party was the best they've ever attended!

Fran Swift writes about baby care, as well as how to choose and where to buy the best baby products, including baby bouncers and baby strollers.

Poltergeist
You have probably heard about the fact that a number of people died who were involved in this movie- Seven to be exact. Carol Anne (Heather O'Rourke) was only twelve when she died during a bowel obstruction surgery. Dominique Dunne was strangled by her boyfriend at just 22. Will Sampson died from a heart-lung transplant at 53. Brian Gibson and Julian Beck both died of different types of cancer. Gibson had a type of bone cancer that occurs in teenage men and this type is rarely fatal. Gibson was 59. Beatrice Straight died of pneumonia at 87 and Geraldine Fitzgerald died at 91. Perhaps the curse came from the fact that Steven Spielberg used real skeletons of real people in the muddy pool scene. Could this have started the bad karma?
This isn't everything! Oliver Robins' throat was really squeezed by the toy clown in that crazy toy scene, due to some mysterious malfunction! Author James Kahn's air conditioner was struck by lightning and flew into his back.
The cave in the second Poltergeist movie where corpses were buried evidently had real skeletons in them as well- like these guys didn't learn their lesson the first time.
Zelda Rubenstein received a call that her mom had died. Right before that, she had a horrible feeling in the pit of her stomach. There was a light shining on her face in this part of the movie. Perhaps it was her mom.
Brandon and Bruce Lee
Brandon Lee died during the making of The Crow. He was to be shot with a gun carrying blanks, but there was evidently a bullet lodged in the barrel that went off when the gun was shot, shooting him in the stomach and resulting in his death. His father Bruce Lee also died during the filming of Enter the Dragon in 1973 while at his Hong Kong apartment. Bruce died when he was just 32 years old and his son Brandon when he was just 28. They were obviously on different sets at different times, but it just seems bizarre.
Three Men and a Baby
There have been stories of a little boy in the window behind Ted Danson about an hour into the movie. It was also rumored that a boy may have killed himself in the house where they were filming, but according to Snopes.com, they filmed indoor scenes on a studio set in Toronto- not an actual residence. They claim that what appears to be this ghost was actually a cardboard cut out of Ted Danson behind the curtain that the props workers forgot to take off the set.
The Exorcism of Emily Rose
In 2005 actress Jennifer Carpenter, playing Emily Rose, was haunted in the middle of the night on a few occasions when her stereo kept turning on. She said it was playing only part of a Pearl Jam song over and over, "I'm still alive"!
The Amityville Horror (2005)
One month before filming, the real life George Lutz, played by Ryan Reynolds, died mysteriously. A dead body washed up on the shore at the house a few weeks later, right before they started shooting the movie. Evidently, it was a fisherman. Ryan Reynolds claims that he was actually waking up every night at the same time as he did in the movie.
My Ghostly Experience...
I had a ghostly experience in South Carolina. I was staying there for about 4 days and attending a wedding on the weekend. I stayed at my friend's grandmother's house. I needed to use the bathroom connected to her bedroom because the other one was occupied. On my way out, I noticed that she had at least 50 lipsticks displayed on her bureau. Who wouldn't take a peek? I opened one of them to see what color it would be when, all of a sudden, there was a huge bang on her closet door. I placed the lipstick back in its place and stupidly apologized for touching it!
The next night, we were getting ready for a poker game, so I eagerly dashed to the bedroom to grab the cards from my suitcase. I stopped dead in my tracks before exiting the room as I noticed a silhouette of a man in the reflection of the glass covering a landscape painting. I said, "Don't scare me- I see you hiding around the corner!" There was no response. My eyes were locked on the silhouette as I waited for my friend to pop out and scare me. Then I hear him and his grandmother talking in the kitchen. I dropped the cards and ran into the kitchen to tell them what I saw. Grandma decided to let us in on a little secret. Evidently, her brother who passed away years ago likes to pay a visit every so often- right where I saw his form in the reflection! I slept on an inflatable bed in the living room for the next two nights.

Handheld system and gameboy game genie only.

Today we will look at the Nintendo DSi specifications to see what the new handheld console has to offer. Released to Europe and US in April this new console will be the most advanced handheld on the market to date.

So lets take a look at the specs in detail.

Two screens, 3.25 inches in size. They are larger than the previous DS Lite and have a resolution of 256 x 192. The screens are smaller than the Sony PSP which has a 4.3 inch display and the Apple I-touch at 3.5 inch but bear in mind that the DSi has two screens creating a bigger viewing area.

Cameras. Two cameras provide the DSi with unique gaming abilities and one of them is VGA. The first camera is located on the internal hinge to capture the players face and the second is located externally on the corner of the lid allowing the user to take pictures like a proper camera and using the gaming screens to view the shot. The PSP has an optional camera, which is 1.3mega pixels. The iPod Touch has a built in camera of 2 mega pixels.

Memory wise the Nintendo DSi provides an SD Card slot along with internal flash memory storage of 256mb. The PSP can hold a memory card of up to 16gb and the iPod Touch has 8 to 32gb depending on which size the owner opts for.

All handhelds mentioned have Wi-Fi capabilities. This is an excellent feature which allows users to surf the web, connect with other consoles of the same type, and download new games, applications and software updates. They all have their own customised stores. Nintendo DSi has the DSi - ware shop, PSP has the PS Store and the iPod Touch uses the App Store.

The DSi has single touch screen technology, the PSP does not have this capability although there is a home brew piece of equipment that owners can buy to set up their own touch screen function. The iPod Touch does have touch screen which is multi-touch technology.

The Nintendo DSi is 12% thinner than the DS Lite but the length is a little longer. The power switch on the DS Lite has been replaced to a button on the DSi which is going back to the original DS. A matted finish has been applied compared to the gloss finish of the DS Lite, which is meant to prevent showing finger prints.

Primarily it will be released in matte black and matte white in Europe and the US. In Japan, Nintendo has already released colours in pink, lime green and metallic blue on 20th of March 2009. Battery life is reduced to 9-14 hours on the lowest brightness setting compared to the 15-19 hours of its predecessor. The Game Boy Advanced slot has been removed which means the DSi has lost backward compatibility. This decision was made to improve portability without sacrificing durability.

The CPU in the Nintendo DSi is an ARM clocked at 133 MHz and has 16 MB of RAM. and the speakers have been improved from the previous model. All said and done the Nintendo DSi is an impressive piece of equipment which will keep gamers happy until some thing bigger and better hits the market which for 2009 at least is very unlikely.

The Nintendo DSi Handheld Console will be released in the UK on 3rd April at a retail price of £150. To pick up a cheap Nintendo DSi you will need to do your research on the net. A good place to start is the link below.
