How do you earn 3 stars on Mario Kart Wii?

I'm playing through the tracks on Mario Kart Wii. Sometimes when I come first all the time and get 60 points I get one star. Sometimes, (although more rare) I get 2. I've read on the Internet you can get 3. How is this determined? We seem to have misplaced the manual so I can't look it up!

I just got three stars and I don't know what I did differently. I won every race by a large margin. Who knows matbe you just need super fast times. Oh one other thiing I have at least a gold on all races. I don't know if that make a difference.

Before going to play you games, we would recommend setting up an interconnection first. This process is usually very quick. Once the connection has been detected, its a matter of entering the correct password, and you are off.

Wireless performance, should also not disappoint, thanks to the included tow internal antennas, one mounted vertically and other horizontally, hence you will get same performance regardless of the orientation of your Wii. In our opinion it is a technological marvel On first picking up the remote it feels perfectly natural, with your thumb and index finger hovering over the A button and B trigger located on the top and underside respectively. With batteries inserted the weight feels just right, providing perfect balance for careful manipulation and tilting. Much like the console as a whole the remote exudes superb build quality too, with satisfying button mechanisms and even high quality battery springs. Small details count for a lot, and these small details inspire confidence from the outset.

Moreover, one of the great strengths of the remote is how it can be held in a variety of different ways For racing games the remote can also be held horizontally; titling left and right to steer.

We think Nintendo Wii is the best console game based on shear fun. It offers aspects of gaming never before seen, such as family orientated games and fun. Coupled with healthy dose of well though out games Nintendo Wii is the best console. And set to yet again top Christmas 2009 wish list

Whats the difference between Mario Party 8 and the gamecube Mario party 4/5?

I want to know the difference between mario party 8 for wii and the gamecube games. Because apparently the gamecube games can be played on the wii. Also if this is true, are there any problems with the difference in controls or any bugs that will lessen the game experience? thanks

Well interestingly, Mario Party 8 has its spark with simple controls, like other Mario Party games, because all you have to use is the wii remote alone! Despite the awkwardness of moving characters with D-pad, the games make it suitable for this sort of control! Also, it is very nice to be able to use the Wii Remote in a variety of ways, whether you hold it vertically for some games, or horizontally for games where you are required to move your character! It seems like a nice new idea for the series, and the games are quite entertaining too! To be honest, it is probably the most challenging Mario Party out there due to the new control scheme, but that's what makes it fun!

You will need more Controllers

As the Wii comes with only one Wiimote and one Nunchuk you will probably want to buy extras so you can play games with your friends and family. Extra Wii controllers and nunchuks helps take the gaming experience to another level. Trust me Wii Sports is much more fun playing against a Human!

Wii Sports Pack

When you buy the Wii it comes supplied with some basic RCA cables that are lets face it a bit old school! If you are lucky enough to own a Plasma TV, DLP or LCD Screen then a simple way to gain extra quality is replace the cables with either Wii component AV cables or a Wii S-Video cable. The Wii is not HD like the PS3 or Xbox360 its still a fast way to get a better picture with minimal costs.

Controller Docking Stations

If you're a hardened gamer like myself you will notice that the Wii Controllers have a real appetite for AA batteries. There are many docking stations for Wii controllers that replace the standard alkaline batteries for rechargeable ones. The Wiimotes simply charge up whilst not in use making sure that when you come to play you're not left feeling flat.

GameCube Controller

If you plan on making use of the Wii's backwards compatibility then the Gamecube controller is a must, they can be picked up on eBay for next to nothing. You can even buy the cordless Wavebird controller for wire free gaming.

SD Memory Card

The Wii is only supplied with a small 512mb SD card, it's not a huge issue if you only play a couple of games but you can soon fill the card up with multiple game saves. I personally purchased a couple of 2gb cards just in case I run out of space, it's a low cost add on and definitely worthwhile.

Infra-red Sensor Bar

The Wii comes with a infrared sensor bar but it makes sense to purchase a spare, they're not built with strength in mind and can become easily damaged, i have a pet rabbit who chewed through the cable! I had to wait a week for a replacement! Save yourself from boredom and buy a spare sensor bar.

Wii Points Game Card

The Wii points system is one of the best features of the Wii, it allows you to purchase classic games from the old Nintendo Platforms. My personal favorites are Super Mario World and Mario Kart (SNES). You can buy Wii Points online or buy prepaid Wii points cards. The current rate is 100 Wii Points per US Dollar.

Guitar Hero or Rock Band

Whilst not necessarily an accessory, Guitar Hero and Rock Band are probably the best Wii games out there at the moment. Either one of these games are an absolute necessity! Please go and buy this game, you will not be disappointed.

I recently bought my grandkids a game that includes Super Mario. I used to play it with my kids years ago, but have forgotten where all the things like extra men, and such are hidden.
