Mario Kart Wii

How do you earn 3 stars on Mario Kart Wii?

I'm playing through the tracks on Mario Kart Wii. Sometimes when I come first all the time and get 60 points I get one star. Sometimes, (although more rare) I get 2. I've read on the Internet you can get 3. How is this determined? We seem to have misplaced the manual so I can't look it up!

I just got three stars and I don't know what I did differently. I won every race by a large margin. Who knows matbe you just need super fast times. Oh one other thiing I have at least a gold on all races. I don't know if that make a difference.

The wheels make the game more fun to play and easier to play for new or young players. (This is a 3rd party's product, NOT from Nintendo) (Wii remote is not included)

Usual suspects such as external power supply, composite cables and SCART adapters are all present. We are even offered a pre synchronized Wii Remote and Nunchuk, with batteries. We suspect this is really a ploy to get you hooked and addicted as soon as possible, after all the only we can think off not getting addicted to the phenomenon that is Wii is by not playing it

Wii also comes supplied with a Sensor Bar, allowing you to point at the screen using the remote. This bar is not intrusive and can be tucked away on the top or bottom of the TV. Nintendo Wii also come supplied with adhesive pads, for the bar (we recommend not using these).

Once the setup of the console is complete, you also have to set the language, date and time also with sensor placement settings. Then you are ready to dive into the gaming experience

Before going to play you games, we would recommend setting up an interconnection first. This process is usually very quick. Once the connection has been detected, its a matter of entering the correct password, and you are off.

Wireless performance, should also not disappoint, thanks to the included tow internal antennas, one mounted vertically and other horizontally, hence you will get same performance regardless of the orientation of your Wii. If you do get stuck the help manuals are clear and complete, with plenty of pictures to show you what to do.

If you know Wii you know its not a graphics machine, with estimated speeds of Wii just above the original Xbox (This is an estimation based on our observations, and not a number to be quoted!) But a Wii is not designed to be a graphics monster! what it lacks in graphics it makes up for in other areas

Wii also does not feature an internal hard drive, but relies on a flash drive to store saved games, virtual console titles and downloaded channels. There however is an SD card Slot, which will take capacity up to 2GB The optical drive can accept GameCube discs and Wii discs, and in most cases Wii is also backward compatible with GameCube games.

Now we come to what is the most important element of Wii: the Wii Remote. When it was first unveiled in 2005 reactions varied from shock, astonishment and denial and have since progressed to curiosity, acceptance and eventually to expectation. The idea will never please everyone but the remote does everything Nintendo promised it could do with great aplomb.

The Wii remote is one of the areas that has made Nintendo Wii instantly recognizable. In our opinion it is a technological marvel On first picking up the remote it feels perfectly natural, with your thumb and index finger hovering over the A button and B trigger located on the top and underside respectively. With batteries inserted the weight feels just right, providing perfect balance for careful manipulation and tilting. Much like the console as a whole the remote exudes superb build quality too, with satisfying button mechanisms and even high quality battery springs. Small details count for a lot, and these small details inspire confidence from the outset.

Moreover, one of the great strengths of the remote is how it can be held in a variety of different ways For racing games the remote can also be held horizontally; titling left and right to steer.

We think Nintendo Wii is the best console game based on shear fun. It offers aspects of gaming never before seen, such as family orientated games and fun. Coupled with healthy dose of well though out games Nintendo Wii is the best console. And set to yet again top Christmas 2009 wish list

Wii Mario Kart
Video game leaves us all in stitches
How do you say "fun" by using a three-letter word other than the obvious? Try saying "Wii." That was our big-ticket item for our daughter this Christmas. So far, the money spent on the gift seems so small compared to the hilarity this gaming console has brought to the household.[...]

Here are some of the top 5 Wii games in 2009. They are not arranged in order of preference or popularity though.

Wii Sports Resort

In the Wii Sports Resort, the sequel to the popular Wii Sports, you'll discover a wide range of new sports and activities you can play anytime which makes this a must-have collection in any homes. It has received in general favourable reviews so far. Wii Sports Resort is set in a beach resort on an island called Wuhu Island, which is also found on the Wii Fit. You will need the new MotionPlus accessory because none of the games found in the Wii Sports Resort can be played without it. Thankfully the One MotionPlus comes with the game. A mentionable game found inside this collection is the archery. The Wii Remote acts as your bow, and you 'draw' the bow's string by pulling the nunchuck backwards. To sum it up, the Wii Sports Resort is a good showcase of the motion-detection technology in Wii.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

The Super Smash Bros. Brawl includes a collection of game modes, features and impressive characters, which makes it more fun than before. This is a multi-player series of fast-moving 2D fighting games that features a cast of characters from the past Nintendo games. There are a total of 35 characters, which include Meta Knight from Kirby, Fox McCloud from Star Fox, Ike from Fire Emblem, Pikachu from Pokemon and Mario. What makes the Smash Bros so popular is the simplicity of the controls, which includes the "smash" attacks. The aim of the game is to knock your opponent out of the arena. Each of the characters have their own strengths and weaknesses. During the game, items will 'appear' to aid you in the battle. For instance, the beam sword helps you in your attacks and the hammer can inflict serious wounds to your opponent. You can also summon other characters when you collect 'assist trophies', who will either help or hinder you.

Mario Kart Wii

I like this game when I played it at an arcade some time back. This is a multi-player game that allows you to play it online with your friends. The main objective of this game is to race against 11 other competitors, in a 'Grand Prix' style. There are a total of 32 different routes, of which half of them are classics from the previous games, and the rest all brand-new. You can do lots of tricks with a few flicks of the Wii Remote, which helps you to increase your speed in the game. During the race, items will appear to help you. For instance, the thunder cloud will shrink you, unless you ram your kart into someone else and pass it to him.

The mega mushroom makes you grow super huge so that you can flatten the other racers. All in all, the Mario Kart Wii provides a whole new playing experience with its simple controls, online integration, and new stunts that were never found before in the Super Mario Kart which originated in 1992.

Wii Guitar Hero: World Tour

This game allows up to 8 players where you can play together and even compete online. The previous Guitar Hero allows you to play the traditional guitar only. With this latest installment, you can now play drums and even sing. You can choose to play only one instrument, or perform a band together with your buddies. If you are game for some challenge, you can also choose to compete online. What makes this game so overwhelming popular is the ability to play together as a band, like some rock-star band, while your friend sing to the tune. Another great feature of the Guitar Hero : World Tour is that it allows you to use your own tracks to play the game. If you are good enough, you can also create your own songs by following the tutorials. It's a fun game for all ages. Who knows, you might be the next rockstar!

Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop

This game is adapted from the original version from XBox 360. With lots of action, you will have a hard time fending off those zombies. The story is about a photojournalist Frank who is supposed to investigate a zombie invasion at a shopping mall. He has to find clues around the mall and kill those zombies of course. There are hundreds of items that you can use as weapons and a good collection of clothing that you can choose from. You can collect bullets and even cash when you kill the zombies. Although the Wii version is a bit wayward when compared to the original XBox version, you can be assured that this is an action-packed game with lots of fun and laughs.

Kart Wii

Playing Mario Kart Wii online, how do I make red shells stick to me instead of hitting me?

I want to know because I've seen it a lot... How do I make red shells stick to the back of my Kart playing Mario Kart Wii online

You are a little confused, but I can help you out. The shells you see "sticking" to people are not ones that were shot at them. Those are shells that they got themselves. You can hold pretty much any item behind you like that (except for the three shells, stars, mushrooms).

You can do this by holding down your release button. I personally use the trigger underneath, but you may used the left and right buttons on the key pad. Whichever way you do it, it will work. Just hold down the release button. The item will stay there until you release the button, or someone shoots it off.

Hint... once you are holding it like that you can go pick up another item. The items can be used to shield you from attacks as well!

Nintendo DS has become popular among kids and young adults. Most of the games are designed for interactivity and simulation. There are also educational games and other simulations which are designed specifically for kids and young adults in mind.

The latest DS games have interesting plots, simulations, role playing, and other fun aspects which are really engaging. Although these games are designed for kids, they are just as much fun for young adults.

Many young adults who like dogs, however do not want to actually own a dog, enjoy the dog simulation DS games. There are games with puzzles and other mysteries, which provide excellent graphics in an easy to use hand held device.

There is a connection between DS Games and the Wii, both are made by Nintendo. Besides this fact, Wii and DS owners can preview DS games using the Wii's Nintendo Channel on the main menu. This channel will allow previews of new DS games, which have been developed and will soon be hitting the stores.

Disney recently announced it will launch a DGamer, free avatar based community, which will be built into games they develop for the Nintendo DS. The DGamer has WIFI connectivity for DS users to play games with other DS users. The focus of the DGamer is to allow DS game players to participate in an online virtual world.

Mario Kart

What are the criteria for unlocking vehicles and characters in Mario Kart Wii?

I recently bought Mario Kart Wii and have gotten first place in all cups and all classes (including mirror). There are still a lot of things missing. How do I unlock these?

I found a blog with everything on it. http://mariokwii.blogspot.com
Go to labels and find unlockable characters or unlock karts and bikes. They have great video tips too it's really a good website.

It seems too good to be true right? Exercise while enjoying a fun video game? Wii Fit seeks to do just that. Shigero Myamoto, the computer whiz behind Mario, Donkey Kong, and Zelda, has a new product that is aimed at everyone. Wii Fit goes along with the original Wii console and comes with a CD full of exercises, information, and a balance board. You get a 12-inch by 20-inch plastic slab that looks a lot like the steps used in aerobics classes. The balance board is used extensively in the game. All the exercises are done on the board or next to it. It senses whether you're correctly positioned, and even functions as a scale. The balance board will tell you your weight and body mass index when you first start using Wii Fit. In addition to balance games, Wii Fit offers strength training, yoga, and aerobics. With each category you will have four our five options to begin and as you progress you can "unlock" more options for each exercise.

Strength training, for example, allows you to choose between torso twists, lunges, jackknifes, single-leg extensions, and push-up/side plank combos. The balance board will tell you whether you are doing these exercises correctly. It counts how many times you do them and will offer general suggestions. For example, while doing a side plank it will tell you not to drop your hips.

Aerobic exercises start with a basic step, a run, or hula-hooping. All of these offer a fairly low level of cardio activity, but by advancing in the game it will offer you more and more difficult exercises

Balance games consist of the ski slalom run, a ski jump, table tilt, and soccer "heading" during which you butt the onscreen ball with your head. These are a key component to Wii Fit because they determine your fitness level throughout the game.

Although the Wii does offer several solutions for excellent home fitness that are fun and entertaining, this is only part of the equation if you are really trying to get more fit. As any fitness trainer will tell you, your diet is at least 80-90% responsible for making any real progress with your physical fitness. You need to pay attention to what you eat, staying away from fat, sugar, and empty calories. Try to eat plenty of whole grains, fruits, and vegetables each day in place of junk food.

If you want to really make a difference in your fitness level, it is wise to use your diet as a tool to help you. Protein supplements are a very common way to quickly and easily boost your protein level so that your muscles have the necessary fuel to grow. By increasing your lean muscle, you effectively increase your metabolism, which naturally helps your body to burn fat. Whey Protein is one of the best protein supplements you can buy. It is 90% protein and a naturally byproduct of dairy, so it is an all-natural, extremely efficient way to metabolize plenty of additional protein. With this kind of fuel, your Wii Fit workouts will be more pleasurable and you will see results faster than you ever thought possible.
