One of the most common questions asked by people nowadays is "which console to buy?" The answer would depend on which games you like, how much are you ready to spend for it, what is more important for you, Graphics and Game-play etc. Now let me explain each console here first and then will explain why Wii is better than Xbox 360 & PS3.
Xbox 360 is a second video game console from Microsoft and it was released in 2005 and has sold close to 22 million units worldwide. Xbox 360 has an integrated service called Xbox Live which allows players to compete online and download games and movies.
PlayStation 3 or PS3 is a third video game console from Sony after massively popular PlayStation 2 which has sold close to 140 million units totally. Wii is a seventh generation video game console from Nintendo; it was designed by legendary game-designer Shigeru Miyamoto. The distinguishing feature of Wii is its Wii Remote or Wiimote, which can be used a handheld pointing device and can detect movement in three dimensions. Another unique feature of Wii is its WiiConnect24, which enables it to receive messages and updates over the internet while in standby mode.
The one thing which makes Nintendo Wii stand out among both Sony PS3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 is its Game-play. Wii is all about game-play, there has never been a console this good which is so interactive and appealing to every genre of people. Nintendo's Wii is stuffed with a simple processor, ATI 'Hollywood' GPU and a motion sensitive remote which is the first of its kind in game consoles. The controller with motion-sensitive gameplay options is as easy to use as a TV remote and hence has attracted a huge population of casual gamers who find it easy to play games on Wii rather than on any other consoles.
Nintendo Wii has totally sold around 35 Million units since it was released on November 2006 and has consistently outsold both Xbox 360 and PS3 to the ratio of 2:1 and 6:1 respectively. Wii is much cheaper than other consoles, almost half the price of other consoles. Wii console is backward compatible with almost all the Nintendo GameCube software and controllers. Wii also has some very good games like Legend of Zelda, Super Smash Bros, Pokémon and Mario Kart, most of the Wii games can be played with other players online with Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Almost all Wii games are stress busting, exciting, funny and addictive to play.
Nintendo's Wii is truly an innovative console which has changed the way games are played for both hardcore gamers as well as casual gamers, and has also attracted many new people to games, who have avoided games for being difficult to learn and play. Wii is truly a marvel and is a must-have for everyone.
