Saving Money By Backing Up Wii Games

January 30th, 2010 No comments

Nintendo Wii games are quite precious in content and value. The Wii games have a high quality graphics that is just amazing.

Compared to Xbox or PS3 the Wii game discs are also costly. Because of the prices, many Wii owners have started to backup their games and save the original discs. The game discs are fragile and they can damage easily.

Since the game discs are fragile, they can damage in just one day. And after multiple usages, the game disks get deteriorated. But don't think that backing up the Wii discs is something you can do with a normal CD or DVD burning software. You need a special game copying software that costs only $30. I still don't understand why people prefer to fix the scratched disks instead of buying this cheap software.

Some people use fixing methods like alcohol or bananas. But rubbing a banana on the disk or cleaning it with alcohol is not the way to approach this problem. Once the game disk is scratched, there is nothing you can do about it. These rudimentary methods don't work. So spend some time using the backup's software and you will win more.

Making a backup of your game disk is not hard at all. You just need to install the special software and then copy the disk. The software will transform the game into an ISO file. The whole burning process it can take a few minutes or a few hours, depending on the CPU speed and the memory you have on him.

But it is a very simple procedure, if you are patient. You need to insert the original disk and then start the software. It will decrypt the game data. After the transfer is complete, you have to insert the blank disk and copy the game. That is all! And the software is completely legal and you can do as many backups as you want.

Backing up the original game disks is the way to save your money and not fixing it for nothing. You only need the special software. It is legal and cheap.

Copy Playstation Games to Save Time And Money

January 16th, 2010 No comments

If you're a PS2 or PS3 gamer that has had to go out and buy a new game to replace one that had been lost or stolen, you've learned the hard way that it would have been cheaper to backup those games for your protection. You need to know how to copy Playstation games. You should know that there is software out there designed specifically for the purpose of backing up video games. Why spend money for replacements, when you can so easily copy Playstation games to make backups? The question is, "How to copy Playstation games?"

Have you ever tried to make copies of video games from any of the major manufacturers: Xbox, Wii, or PlayStation? If you have tried using the software that you traditionally use to copy music or video CDs, you were undoubtedly disappointed. Those traditional software applications are not designed to bypass the copy protection schemes that are integrated into most game programs. Obviously, these game manufacturers don't profit from any copies that are made of their games. They are in the business of sales, and take whatever steps are necessary to prevent piracy, but in doing so they have also made it difficult for you to copy Playstation games to protect your entertainment investment. It's perfectly legal to copy a Playstation game for your personal use, provided you own the game that you are copying.

This copy protection policy doesn't seem fair to most gamers. If game disks came with insurance for loss or damage, it would be a different story, but that's not the case. These games, while they may be sophisticated computer programs, are stored on a simple round disk that can scratch, be lost, or be stolen. Without any backup disks, the gamer absorbs all the risk of replacing the games at full cost. Fortunately, some clever software developers recognized this problem and created software applications that can bypass the manufacturers' copy protection and enable gamers to copy Playstation games and make excellent backup copies. One of these software applications is held in high regard by most gamers. It's called Game Copy Wizard.

The Game Copy Wizard application makes it extremely easy to copy a Playstation game. By following its onscreen instructions you'll create copies of your PS2 and PS3 games that are exactly like the original games as they came from the manufacturer. All it involves is exchanging the original game disk with a blank DVD, and clicking a few onscreen commands to create these high quality backups. When you make backups of this quality, it's wise to use the backups for routine game playing, and to store away the original games for safekeeping. If you damage or lose a backup game, you can always make another from the stored original.

You can do much more than copy Playstation games using the Game Copy Wizard application. You can also make excellent copies of Wii, Xbox, Xbox 360, Gamecube games, Dreamcast games, and PC games, as well and music and video disks. The best news for gamers is the Game Copy Wizard's reasonable cost. It will pay for itself the first time that you lose or damage a game, and have the backup disk to rely upon. Try it. Knowing how to copy Playstation games will let you rest easily at night knowing your gaming investment is protected.

We think of California's Napa Valley as one of the great wine centers of the world, but its other great boast is food. The Valley lies in the midst of some of the world's most creative farmers and livestock growers, surrounded by an ocean of fish and the world's most abundant variety of fruits, nuts, vegetables, artisan meats and rare foodstocks. In the restaurants and markets of the Valley, all this bounty arrives every day astonishingly fresh, often merely hours old.

Situated in the heart of all this abundance, it's no surprise that Napa Valley has become one of America's great culinary centers. Chefs love the area for the freshness and variety of its foods. The five million visitors who come to sample the wine country treats every year have created a bustling culinary scene.

It could be said that the better part of knowing a wine is knowing what food it goes with.

Your knowledge of wines is not that extensive? Then let the people who prepare your food make the selections from the bewildering array of wines and recommend what goes best with your food. If you're on a culinary adventure, there's no better way to sample the Valley's flavors than through the recommendations of the local eateries - they'll all have good wines.

Yountville is considered the center for fine dining. Best of the best here is surely French Laundry, top-rated again by Michelin for 2010 as one of the few three-star restaurants in America. But Napa Valley is bursting with fine eateries. If you don't know your way around study some of the many guides and reviews. These are available everywhere: your hotel, your custom tour service, the wineries and attractions you visit.

And don't forget the locals for advice. Uncork29 for example offers a good list of restaurants rated by locals. They rate ZuZu in Napa even more highly than French Laundry (try the Moroccan Barbecue Glazed Rack of Lamb with Mint & Red Curry Oil).

Choose particular meals or foods you want to try and venture out to the restaurants famous for them. Of course add your special requirements into the search. If you're looking for some quiet or romantic time, look for ratings on restaurants that include decor, view, etc. If you want some outdoors activity consider a bicycle tour of the valley, stopping at wineries and restaurants along the way.

As a visitor to Napa Valley, you can do more than just consume your dining experiences, you can create them as well. You can learn to cook, and learn to shop like a chef. You can take home newfound culinary skills to keep your Valley experience alive long after your trip.

Culinary demonstrations and schools abound in Napa Valley. The Culinary School of America in St. Helena offers recipes and samples, and teaches both food and wine skills in restaurant demonstrations of just a few hours, ranging up to week-long courses and more. The school also leads in cooking with local foods and sustainable farming practices.

Or how about Gourmet Retreats in Calistoga? Taught by a trained chef, here you can pick up culinary skills in as little as five hours or stay for five days. As with most offerings in the Valley, it's up to you. And you don't have to stay where you learn. Getting around Napa Valley is very easy, with trains, buses, tour companies, and rentals of every kind. You can base in one place if you choose and venture forth daily to your attractions.

Would you like to learn to shop for your food in the farmers market, and then learn how to turn the ingredients into a culinary delight? Cooking With Julie in Napa offers just this experience. You select from the season's finest and freshest local produce, fish, meat, cheese, fruits and artisan foods. Then you turn these into a 3-course lunch with wine. Not a bad life skill for one day's adventure.

Napa Valley is NOT going back to school. You have permission to relax, enjoy, consume. But it will be hard not to pick up tips and tricks about wine and food from your stay in the Valley. You'll take a better way of culinary living home with you, to enjoy until your next visit here, when you come back for more.

Where to Eat: See locals rate Napa restaurants at Uncork29 Where To Stay: Stay at Holiday Inn Express' Napa Valley Hotel for upscale, yet affordable accommodations.

I have many cheap wow accounts in store. What that is, however, is a lot of money. Gamasutra estimates that at an average of $30 for each unit sold (the vanilla game currently retails at $20, but the expansions all sell at $40, and of course the original game was more expensive once upon a time), that's $258 million in income for Blizzard. In short, Blizzard's making a mint at the retail counter, even before they sign anyone up for subscriptions.

Then again, if you look at their own costs, those aren't insubstantial, either -- Activision's Bobby Kotick claimed that anyone starting up an MMO to compete with WoW would have to throw at least half a billion dollars into the mix just to get started, so we can presume Blizzard has spent at least $500 million on their staff, development, and hardware. So it's not like they're taking it all to the bank, though we can at least presume they're sitting firmly in the black.

Gamasutra has received an interesting stat from the good folks at NPD: after hearing that The Sims 3 sold over 800,000 copies in its first month, they were curious to see what kind of unit sales our own World of Warcraft has experienced. And the numbers are pretty big: among the original game and all of the expansion packs since the vanilla release over four years ago, NPD says 8.6 million boxes of WoW have been sold in the US. That's a little misleading if you're comparing it to actual subscription numbers: remember that this is over three different releases (so the actual number of all-time players, not current players, is probably 1/3 of that), and it includes different collectors' editions of each of the three game editions. So there are nowhere near 8.6 million US players of WoW -- that's just how many times players have come through the retail line with the various releases.Pay attention to wow account info here please.
