If you're a PS2 or PS3 gamer that has had to go out and buy a new game to replace one that had been lost or stolen, you've learned the hard way that it would have been cheaper to backup those games for your protection. You need to know how to copy Playstation games. You should know that there is software out there designed specifically for the purpose of backing up video games. Why spend money for replacements, when you can so easily copy Playstation games to make backups? The question is, "How to copy Playstation games?"

Have you ever tried to make copies of video games from any of the major manufacturers: Xbox, Wii, or PlayStation? If you have tried using the software that you traditionally use to copy music or video CDs, you were undoubtedly disappointed. Those traditional software applications are not designed to bypass the copy protection schemes that are integrated into most game programs. Obviously, these game manufacturers don't profit from any copies that are made of their games. They are in the business of sales, and take whatever steps are necessary to prevent piracy, but in doing so they have also made it difficult for you to copy Playstation games to protect your entertainment investment. It's perfectly legal to copy a Playstation game for your personal use, provided you own the game that you are copying.

This copy protection policy doesn't seem fair to most gamers. If game disks came with insurance for loss or damage, it would be a different story, but that's not the case. These games, while they may be sophisticated computer programs, are stored on a simple round disk that can scratch, be lost, or be stolen. Without any backup disks, the gamer absorbs all the risk of replacing the games at full cost. Fortunately, some clever software developers recognized this problem and created software applications that can bypass the manufacturers' copy protection and enable gamers to copy Playstation games and make excellent backup copies. One of these software applications is held in high regard by most gamers. It's called Game Copy Wizard.

The Game Copy Wizard application makes it extremely easy to copy a Playstation game. By following its onscreen instructions you'll create copies of your PS2 and PS3 games that are exactly like the original games as they came from the manufacturer. All it involves is exchanging the original game disk with a blank DVD, and clicking a few onscreen commands to create these high quality backups. When you make backups of this quality, it's wise to use the backups for routine game playing, and to store away the original games for safekeeping. If you damage or lose a backup game, you can always make another from the stored original.

You can do much more than copy Playstation games using the Game Copy Wizard application. You can also make excellent copies of Wii, Xbox, Xbox 360, Gamecube games, Dreamcast games, and PC games, as well and music and video disks. The best news for gamers is the Game Copy Wizard's reasonable cost. It will pay for itself the first time that you lose or damage a game, and have the backup disk to rely upon. Try it. Knowing how to copy Playstation games will let you rest easily at night knowing your gaming investment is protected.

You can stream all your media with ease. Don't let the Microsoft fanboys have all the fun.

The last few months has seen a number of significant updates released for the Playstation 3, all of which have increased the console's functionality. Like the Xbox 360, you can use Windows Media Player 11 to share your media and view it using the Playstation 3.

However, just as with the Xbox, Windows Media is a temperamental beast and can cause irrational anger and the urge to chuck the controller at the TV when it stops working properly. In our experience, you are much better off using Tversity (www.tversity.com), which also works with the Xbox. However, you will need to configure your router to make it work correctly, but it's a two-minute job and is pretty simple.

First of all download Tversity and leave all the settings at the defaults. You may want to download FFDShow (sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow) and any other additional codecs you use regularly. You'll need to change your Windows or third-party firewall settings to allow mediaserver.exe, which is found in the Tversity folder, access to the internet.

Configure your router, by typing its IP address into your web browser's address bar, it's usually 192.168.0.1, but if it isn't, run ipconfig from a command prompt to determine your PC's IP address and use the first IP in that range for your router. Within your router's control panel you find that you'll need to edit the section for virtual servers or port-forwarding, and allow access to port 41952.

In addition, just as with the Xbox, you can use Orb with the Playstation 3, although instead of using the folder sharing, you use the built-in browser and navigate to mycast.orb.com.

How to download off the Playstation store for PSP demos?

I don't know how to download PSP demos off the playstation store!

The process for downloading PSP demos from the PSN (PlayStation Network™) Store is very similar to downloading PS3 demos. There are two ways to go about this. You will need a PS3 and an internet connection for the first method.
First, you must login using your PSN username and password, of course after setting up your internet configuration and creating a username and password via your PS3.
Next, enter the Playstation Store (Main Menu>Network>Playstation Store), and select "Game Demos".
Then, select "PSP Demos" and search for the one you want. Now, click "Add to Cart" and later "Download". This will download the demo to your PS3.
After it is completed, the download will appear under Main Menu>Game>[Demo Name Here]. Next, connect your PSP to your PS3 via. MINI USB cable. (It is included with the PS3.) When it is connected, select (click on) the demo you want and then it will ask you if you want to copy the demo to the PSP. Provided you have enough Memory Stick™ or Memory Stick Duo™ space left, click yes. The data will be copied to your PSP.
After all this is complete, disconnect your PSP. You can now delete the demo data from your PS3.

OR

You can login on the PSN after creating an account and download the demo via PSP.
To do this, simply enter the Playstation Store (Main Menu>Network>Playstation Store), ON THE PSP and select "Game Demos".
Then, select "PSP Demos" and search for the one you want. Now, click "Add to Cart" and later "Download". This will download the demo to your PSP.

The first method is faster but requires a PS3. The second is hindered by the PSP's excruciatingly slow download speeds, but only requires a PSP and an internet connection.

PowerMat is a new device on the market that allows you to wirelessly charge a range of gadgets, such as cellphones and handheld video games. It can be seen that there is very good coverage of most handheld devices by the PowerMat. However, many of these have to be charged using the PowerCube so if true wireless capability for particular devices is important then it is worthwhile checking to ensure that receivers are available for them.
