Xbox 360 Walk Throughs

Got an Xbox 360? Then there's no need to buy yourself a separate media streamer. It's not just a games console you know.

While the Xbox 360 might have enjoyed phenomenal success as a games console, it has some other rather nifty tricks up its sleeve. Although the Xbox 360 has no built-in wireless, it does have an Ethernet connection, and there's a wireless adaptor available, although it does only use the 802.11g standard.

The Xbox 360 is designed to connect to a PC running Windows Media Center, and if you have a PC running that (either Vista, or Windows XP MCE) then the system works very well. The Xbox's interface is pretty much the same as Media Center and it is slick and easy to use. If you don't have a PC running any form of media center, then you can use Windows Media Player 11 instead.

Once sharing has been setup, the Xbox is able to connect and browse the folders in much the same way as any other media streamer. It's not nearly as good as the Media Center Interface, and it has a nasty habit of failing to connect to our shared library, but when it works, it's pretty good. Since Microsoft updated the firmware, the Xbox is able to play Xvid and DivX content, but cannot play some other file formats. In this case, you can use a program called Tversity (www.tversity.com) which can transcode incompatible file formats on the fly, into ones the Xbox can play.

Using Tversity, the Xbox can even stream live video feeds, which is a pretty unique feature. An alternative is to use Orb (www.orb.com), which enables you to view almost any content you wish to share, by using folder sharing. You may not think that the Xbox is a natural contender for streaming audio and video to your TV and stereo, but after testing a large number of media streamers, we have to say the Xbox is actually one of the best devices we've ever used, especially when you decide to use it with Media Center.

There are some downsides to this player also, but the good far outweighs the bad. There are, like anything, some downsides to this player. The user interface, out of the box, is text based, but do not fear. There are third party plug-ins available that will help you navigate your media. YamJ Movie Jukebox is available from Google and will help you navigate through your media collection. Also there is no real instruction manual, but there is an instructional Wiki set up from NetworkedMediaTank.com.

Nba Live

How do players get injured in NBA Live 08?

Hi Guys! I have NBA Live 08 and I'm playing dynasty mode and I would want some players to get injured so that they'd miss couple of games. However they never get injured and I dont know how to change that. I tried setting and gameplay and then user setting but it doesnt say anything about frequecy of injuries. Can somebody tell me how to get my players injured? Thnx.

most of the time, they get injured in a layup or dunk attemp and I think EA sports also made injury-prone players get more often injured! like lakers Odom and Nuggets Kenyon Martin! It happend with me!

Not every NBA player has the honor of seeing his jersey rise to the top of the NBA store best selling list. More people are looking forward to watch satellite TV on PC. There are many reasons why they are doing this but in order for you to do it, you will need some specific software for your PC. This piece of software can easily be found on the internet and downloaded on to your PC. Once it has been downloaded, installed and is up and running, it will provide you with a list of national and international TV stations that you can watch on your PC. But not only this, you will be able to watch movie trailers, cartoons and play games as well. 1. You can add bookmarks, search and manage channels. This tool is built in to many software programs and it allows you to search for the kind of channels that you are really interested in quickly. It also allows you to 'Add Favorites' which will then provide you with a permanent bookmark on any channel that you would like to go back to some other time. Also many of these PC satellite TV software packages allow you to create and manage any bookmark that you make into a folder separate from everything else on your computer.

2. Channel Information. They will not only give you the station's name but also a clear description of it. The software also tells you if the station is online or is being updated or has been updated. This helps in keeping you informed of which stations have been modified and which are ones they are having problems with.

3. Huge TV Channel Selection. There are more than 2000 TV channels to choose from. These are TV programs from many countries and you can watch TV channels like world news, movies, music videos and a whole lot of excellent programs.

Now, the not so beautiful side of things...

1. You do need a high speed broadband connection to run the software. While most software packages explain that you can still watch TV on a slow dial-up connection, the truth is that dial-up transmissions are slow and can really spoil the whole viewing experience with slow to load frames.

2. Most monitor screens are 15 - 17 inches which are too small. Even if the quality and resolution are excellent, you still cannot get too much out of it. Of course, there is a way to work around it with a video cable wired to a real TV set.

As you can see from above there are quite a good number of reasons as opposed to drawbacks for using software which enables you to watch satellite TV on PC today.
